AI for Research, Monitoring & Evaluation: Why It Matters for YOU

If you work in Research or do Monitoring & Evaluation, you already know the truth: Deadlines keep shrinking, workloads keep growing, expectations keep rising.

And now almost every tool we use, NVivo, Excel, Kobo, SPSS, Stata, and Power BI, is integrating AI.

So here's the real question: How do YOU keep up without feeling overwhelmed or left behind?

When I started my journey in research and M&E, nobody was talking seriously about Artificial Intelligence. It felt like one of those distant future ideas people mentioned at conferences and forgot the next day. Then something shifted.

Around late 2023, every time I opened LinkedIn, I couldn't scroll for five seconds without bumping into a post, a newsletter, or a YouTube link from a thought leader talking about AI's massive potential. Curiosity pulled me in, but so did fear. As a researcher and impact evaluator consultant, I knew I couldn't afford to sit on the sidelines while the world was moving at lightning speed.

So I jumped in. I started following debates, reading everything I could find, and signing up for masterclasses like my career depended on it, because frankly, it did.

One of the early game-changing trainings I joined was led by Dr. Phillip Adu, a brilliant methodology expert, alongside the incredible Ann-Murray Brown, who has almost two decades of international M&E experience. That class opened my eyes. And honestly? I realized I wasn't alone. The room was packed with people trying to figure out the same thing.

We had data strategists; Research & Learning specialists; Knowledge management experts; Evaluation consultants; Science MEL managers; Policy advisors. Even medical doctors and business development managers.

Everyone showed up with one burning question:

How can I use AI to work better, faster, and smarter?

My own obsession was simple: How can AI make research and evaluation more effective?

How can it help us analyze data faster, write better reports, deepen insights, and remove the painful, time-consuming parts of our workflow—like literature reviews that swallow entire weekends?

Today, everyone has their own reason for learning AI. And every reason is valid.

But here's the bottom line: Being left behind is an unforgivable sin in this season

AI is everywhere:

  • Research tools now have AI engines.
  • Universities have created AI ethics SOPs.
  • Development agencies have governance frameworks around it.
  • Even publishing houses have AI guidelines now.

This explains the basic reason why we developed this four-months course AI for Research, Monitoring, and Evaluation to help researchers and M&E professionals stay ahead of the curve.

This hands-on course designed to help early-career and experienced professionals master AI for research and evaluation work.

We will help you to:

  • Understand the fundamentals of AI tools
  • Grasp models, creation systems, and how AI thinks
  • Build your own AI assistant
  • Craft powerful prompts that give you instant clarity
  • Use AI for analysis, reporting, evaluation design, and literature reviews
  • Work faster, smarter, and with precision

If you're curious, like I was, this course is for you.
